16day combined East African wildlife safari exploring three of the most renowned wildlife-rich countries in the region, on an exciting big five and primate safari that promises to capture your heart. Visit spectacular national parks in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda in search of the big cats, massive herds of wildebeest and zebra, chimpanzees and huge mountain gorillas. See Africa like never before, taking photographs and making memories of some of the most privileged sightings you will ever come across. All of this and more on a 16-day trip designed for travelers seeking a unique wildlife experience.

Day1. Pick up from your hotel/Lodge

A morning pick-up from your hotel in Nairobi before driving through the Great Rift Valley to the Maasai Mara with an en-route lunch and some game viewing. After check-in, enjoy an afternoon game drive in the reserve, returning in the evening for dinner.

Day2. Full day game drive

Enjoy a full day of game drives in the reserve with a break for a picnic lunch. Later return to camp for a relaxed evening around the campfire and some dinner.

Day3. Transfer to Lake Nakuru National park

After breakfast you will make your way to Lake Nakuru National Park and enjoy an en-route lunch. Arrive in the evening and relax before a good dinner.

Day4. Morning game drive and transfer to Nairobi

Wake up early for your morning game drive in the park and return to the lodge for breakfast. Thereafter you will drive back to Nairobi for lunch and the make your way to the Namanga border post and cross in to Arusha in Tanzania.

Day5. Arusha- Ngorongoro conservation area

In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel and drive towards the Ngorongoro Crater. Arrive at your lodge in the afternoon and enjoy some lunch before heading out for a short walking tour along the crater rim for about three km’s and explore the beautiful scenery of the Ngorongoro Highlands.

Day6. Ngorongoro crater full day game drive

After breakfast you will descend into the crater for a full day of game drives. All the big five inhabit this magnificent volcanic caldera among many other species making this reserve one of the most diverse in Africa. Explore this amazing UNESCO World Heritage Site while stopping for a picnic lunch served at Ngoitokitok Swamp, a Hippo pool. After lunch proceed with your game viewing before heading back to camp.

Day7. Transfer to Serengeti National park

You will have breakfast in Ngorongoro before leaving for the Serengeti National Park with an en-route game drive. Arrive in the park in time for lunch and later join an optional game drive in the Serengeti or relax at the lodge.

Day8. Serengeti national park full day game drive

After breakfast depart for your morning game drive in the famous park and look for lion, leopard and cheetah in their pursuit of the herds that cross these massive grassland plains. Search for the huge herds of wildebeest and zebra on your afternoon drive after a good lunch.

Day9. Transfer to Lake Manyara National park

After breakfast, check-out and drive towards Lake Manyara National Park for a hot lunch before enjoying some leisure time by the hotel pool and relaxing for the rest of the day.

Day10. Lake Manyara National park-Arusha and to Kampala

Enjoy a morning game drive in the park after a good breakfast. The park is home to the famous tree-climbing lions which you can hope to see. Depart for Arusha before midday and have lunch when you arrive before your flight to Uganda.

Day11. Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National park

A morning pick-up at your hotel after breakfast and a drive to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Enjoy scenic views of the green countryside and the beautiful hills that surround the area, proving excellent photographic opportunities. Stop for lunch in Mbarara before arriving at the park in the late afternoon. Relax for the rest of the day and listen to the sounds of the birds and water flowing through the forest before dinner

Day12. Gorilla tracking

An early breakfast before making your way to the park headquarters for a briefing and then head into the forest in search of the huge mountain Gorillas. Trek through the dense vegetation until you find these amazing apes and enjoy an hour of silence with them, observing their interactions from a distance as close as 6m. These giants can weigh up to 250 kg’s yet are extremely gentle creatures. Make your way out of the forest when you are done and return to camp for the evening.

Day13. Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

In the morning you will make your way to Queen Elizabeth National Park for an afternoon in the forest in search of the chimpanzees. Trek through the Kyambura Gorge and discover the cave-like structures created by the thick forest trees and vines. Continue your hike for between 2-7 hours until you find the apes and are able to observe the interactions of these social animals. Later head back to camp for the evening.

Day14. Game drive and boat cruise

Wake up for your morning game drive to track the famous tree-climbing lions and see what other animals you can find in the park. Return to your lodge for brunch and a short rest before heading to the Kazinga Channel for a leisurely boat cruise allowing you to spot animals from the water.

The park holds many bird species which you can also see, giving you the chance for some beautiful photos from the boat. Head back to the lodge for dinner.

Day15. Transfer to Kampala

Today marks the climax of your 16day combined East African wildlife safari, wake up early and have breakfast then transfer to Kampala in the morning and check-in at your luxury hotel when you arrive. Enjoy a relaxed evening and a delicious dinner.

Day16. Transfer back to Nairobi

After an early breakfast, travel back to Nairobi with a shuttle or scheduled flight hence the end of 16day combined East African wildlife safari.
