7 Days Uganda Wildlife tour takes you through Kampala city the Capital of Uganda and Jinja to discover the disputed longest river in the world known as river Nile, Uganda’s biggest wildlife national park known as the Murchison Falls national park for adventurous game drives and boat cruise, Lake Mburo national park for nature walks with spots to many bird species, animals and Uganda equator to experience the tropical balance.

7 Days Uganda Wildlife & Source of River Nile

Day1. Arrival at the Airport and Kampala City Tour

You are advised to land a day before or to have an early morning landing and your day shall kick off with Kampala city tour where you will have to visit the, King’s palace of Buganda for Historical and cultural interactions, Gaddaffi Mosque to have a clear view of Kampala. Also, you will visit the Rubaga Cathedral and enjoy a drive through Kampala city.

Day2. Transfer to Jinja for River Nile discovery

After morning breakfast, you will Start-off the early morning drive onJinja road highway which will lead us to our first stop being at the Historical Sezibwa waterfalls which are approximately 32 kilometres east of Kampala city in Mukono District.

The falls are about seven meters high and with the sweet hissing sound created by the falling water which forms beautiful scenery. This is complemented by the natural vegetation cover and the undulating and steep rocks over which the waters fall.

The site has several bird species that present a wonderful opportunity for birding activities. The site also presents several tourist activities such as bird watching, camping, rock climbing, nature walks, hiking and canoeing.

We check out and continue to the Mabira forest for 2 hours where we have a forest walk The Mabira forest is a rainforest area covering about 300 square kilometres (120 square miles) situated in Buikwe District between Lugazi and Mabira forest is a habitat to over 300 bird species and many Ugandan primates. The forest is great, it is still natural and the nature walk is just amazing. You will walk for over an hour under tree canopies without spotting the sky. There are very many primates that you will see on the way, beautiful forest birds and great temperatures.

Afternoon session: Visiting the Ripon Falls

We continue to Jinja town and have lunch at the Recreational hotel or any other place or hotel you may wish. Then prepare for the afternoon drive to the Ripon Falls which was formerly called the source of the Nile, and continue to the real source of the Nile and see where the Nile originates from.

If you are a bird lover, this is a must place for you. Not forgetting that you may decide to relax by the source of the Nile with some drinks and ask your guide to pick you up later-on. The guides are all professional; they will point out at all the bird species that they come across and the many lizards along the River Nile Source.

When you get to the point where the Nile river dramatically separates from Lake Victoria, the stream of water will start running towards the North forming the Victoria Nile co-joining with the Albert Nile in the Murchison falls National Park to the Southern Sudan to meet the Blue and White Nile and continue through Egypt to the Mediterranean sea.

Day3. Quad Biking and transfer back to Kampala

After breakfast, you will go for half day quad biking which is done off the beaten tracks and into the warm heart of Uganda- beside the river Nile.

Thereafter, you will go for lunch and transfer back to Kampala passing through Mabira Forest- the largest forest in Uganda.

Day4. Drive to Murchison Falls Uganda’s biggest National Park

After your breakfast, your driver will be ready at the waiting point to start off your wildlife safari. Head towards the North. Your Lunch will be at Kabalega Dinners or Masindi Town.
On arrival, you will visit the Top of Murchison Falls the world’s strongest water fall so come a long with your camera to take photographs.

Day5. Game drive and Boat Cruise

The day shall kick off with a morning game drive via the pakuba game trail, along the Albert Nile with a great view of the Blue Mountains in Congo. Expect to spot lots of giraffes, elephants, Jackson heartbeats, lions, buffaloes, hippos and many more. Then drive back to your lodge for lunch and relaxation.

Thereafter, you will go for a boat cruise to the base of the falls and expect to see lots of Buffaloes, Hippos, Elephants, Crocodiles and different bird species.

You will do an evening game drive as your heading back to lodge for relaxation, dinner and an overnight.

Day6. Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Today morning breakfast, you will drive to Lake Mburo National park –Igongo country Hotel with an optional nature walk.

Here you will have a chance to view animal species like Zebras and others.

Meal Plan: All meals and mineral drinking water.

Day 6. Morning game drive and Boat Cruise

After an early morning breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive in search for wildlife species such as giraffes, Zebras and other Antelopes. After your early lunch in the Park of outside the park and later you will go for an afternoon boat cruise in search for water loving animals such as the hippos, Crocodiles and different bird species such as the fish eagles and others.

You will come back later in the evening at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7. Transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe Airport

After breakfast, you will drive back to Kampala with a stopover at equator to buy souvenirs, take photos and experience the tropical balance. You may opt to have your lunch at the equator and then proceed with journey reaching Entebbe in the evening so we advise you to have an evening flight back home.
