Overview
8 days Rwanda wildlife Fly in safari will give you a classic African outlook of Rwanda – the land of “a thousand hills.” Enjoy the different backdrops of Rwanda as you turn along the hilly roads. The parks are a mixture of savannah, forest, and mountains, giving varied sights of Rwanda. You’ll see a variety of wildlife from elephants to Gorillas, go on a boat trip, and many more activities that will give you everlasting memories.
Day1. Arrival at Kigali Airport and fly to Akagera National park
Welcome to the beautiful land of “a thousand hills” – Rwanda. Our representative staff will be at the airport to take to board a domestic flight to Akagera N.p.
You will have lunch at your lodge and an overnight stay.

Day2. Game drive and boat cruise
Akagera National Park is a Savannah park with elephants, hippos, buffaloes, and lions. After an early breakfast, we take a game drive in search of these animals; the game drive will take us to the northern part of the park where most of the animals prefer to inhabit.
Take a boat trip on Lake Ihema in the afternoon and thereafter come back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day3. Transfer to Nyungwe national park
This morning we depart for Nyungwe forest with packed lunch to have it en route to the park. We have the opportunity of exploring the National Museum in Huye. After this experience, we continue our drive to your lodge located in a tea plantation bordering the forest.

Day4. Chimpanzee tracking and Canopy walk
After an early breakfast, we leave for chimpanzee tracking in the Nyungwe forest. The forest is rich in botanical diversity and home to 13 species of primates including chimpanzees, L’Hoest monkeys, and Columbus monkeys. You will receive a briefing from your ranger guide and thereafter start your trek.
Later that afternoon or immediately you will take on the canopy walk experiencing the forest differently.

Day5. Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
We leave for Volcanoes National Park right after breakfast. Our drive will be partly along the Congo – Nile trail with views of Lake Kivu and its islands on our way, arriving at the hotel in the evening. Enjoy the winding roads and scenery along the way.

Day6. Gorilla tracking in Volcanoes N.P
Meet the mountain gorillas in the dense jungles of the Virunga ranges. Embark on the trek through the habitat of these enormous animals. Such an unforgettable experience on many people’s bucket lists. The trek can last from an hour to four hours depending on where the gorillas nested the previous night – you need to be relatively fit to enjoy this experience.

Day7. Golden monkey tracking
Your driver-guide will transfer you to the park headquarters for the briefing before you can start your trek. Golden monkeys are generally more active than gorillas and will require you to move as you follow them foraging for food. Once you locate them, you are only allowed to stay with them for 1 hour after which you start the trek back.

Day8. Transfer back to Kigali for the drop off
Today marks the end of your 8 days Rwanda wildlife Fly in safari, after breakfast you will drive back to Kigali for the drop off with en-route lunch. Kigali city tour can be organized for at an extra cost
