Day 1: Arrival and Hotel transfer

You will be picked up from the airport by a representative from Pamoja Tours and Travel. He will transfer you to your hotel. You will meet your driver/ guide tomorrow morning when he picks you up from your hotel. You will stay in a nice lodge with beautiful views. The hotel has cozy safari style furnished rooms, equipped with, fridge bar, telephone, fan, balcony and a comfortable bathroom.

Day 2: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park with optional Tracking

Today after breakfast, you will transfer to Murchison Falls National park with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for on foot rhino tracking one of the big five at the extra cost.

The journey today goes from Kampala – across Uganda – to Murchison Falls National Park. Covering an area of over 3,840 km², Murchison Falls National Park is the largest conservation area in Uganda. The park’s name derives from its famous waterfall: the mighty Murchison Falls.

Your accommodation for the coming two nights is at Pakuba Safari Lodge. The lodge has been carefully and sensitively built on the edge of the mighty River Nile.

Day 3: Game drive, Boat Cruise & Top of Murchison Falls Experience

Get ready for an early wake up today! In the early morning hours animals are the most active, the sun is not yet so bright and temperatures are cooler. It offers the best time to spot wild animals.
After an early breakfast you will go out on a game drive to explore the northern part of the park. Come eye-to-eye with the African animal kingdom: elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, different species of antelopes and many tropical birds may all be spotted during the game drive.
In the afternoon you will take a boat safari up the Nile River to Murchison Falls.

Carefully watched by crocodiles, hundreds of hippos, buffaloes, water birds, monkeys and all the other thirsty wildlife that the Nile attracts

After the boat safari you will hike to the top of the falls. From here you have a wonderful view and fantastic photo opportunities!

Day 4: Hot air balloon safari and transfer to Kibale National Park

Today after breakfast, you will go for a hot air balloon safari which helps you for aerial view of wildlife and after you will begin your journey to Kibale Forest N.P. The long drive is incredibly scenic, passing through tea plantations and the lush green countryside which characterizes so much of Uganda. A packed lunch is included, which you can join on the way. Spend the late afternoon relaxing and enjoy a lovely view of the forest and its wildlife.

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking

Today you will experience some serious monkey business! Kibale Forest National Park boasts the highest number of primate species in the world, including the chimpanzees. Approximately 5,000 chimpanzees live in the wild in Uganda, which makes it a perfect place to spot them! An experienced ranger will take you chimp tracking in the morning. Once you locate the chimpanzees, you will also have a full hour with them.

After you will come back to your lodge for relaxation, lunch and in the evening you may also opt for Bigodi swamp walk.

Day 6. Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today after breakfast, you drive to Bwindi impenetrable National park with a stopover for Lunch as proceed to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7. Gorilla tracking and optional Batwa cultural Visit

Get up early and report to the Park headquarters for a brief talk with the guide; from here you will hit the montane forest for an encounter with the mountain gorillas.
Watch out for their voices and listen to them grumble and the young as they swing from tree to tree, and marvel at the sheer size of the dominant male; the silver back.

It is an extraordinary feeling sitting in the dense rain forest knowing you are with a few of the last remaining mountain gorillas. The time taken to track the gorillas can be as few as 2 hours to as many as 7 hours.

The gorillas you track belong to one of nine habituated family groups who can tolerate the presence of humans for a brief period every day. En route to the gorillas, your guide will point out signs of previous gorilla activity, including dung, nests and also chewed bamboo shoots.

After tracking experience, you may opt to do a culture visit or relax at your lodge as you wait for dinner and also an overnight stay.

Day 8. Transfer back to Kampala with a stopover at the equator

After a relaxed breakfast, you will drive back to kampala/Airport with a stopover at the equator to take photographs and buy some souvenirs.
