Gorilla Trekking from Mahogany

Mahogany Springs is situated near the village of Buhoma on the north side of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Buhoma is where gorilla trekking all began in 1993. The trekking from Buhoma is easier than in other parks of the forest, but it is the most popular.

The trekking here is the most accessible of the 4 trailheads around Bwindi. This largely because the Rushegura gorilla family tends to hang around near the village.
