Amenities

At the centre of Mweya Safari Lodge is a large outdoor swimming pool with a bar next to it – convenient for those late afternoon sundowners! Meals can be enjoyed in the elegant dining room or outside on the veranda, with special barbecues and traditional dance performances scheduled on selected evenings. There is also a full-service day spa here, complete with an exercise studio, hair salon, sauna, and also steam room.

Activities

Activities offered at the Lodge include game drives in the Queen Elizabeth National Park, looking for some of the reserve’s 600-plus bird species as well as boating along the 36km Kazinga Channel. It’s also possible to visit volcanic craters, salt lakes and the southern sector of the park, where tree-climbing lions are often. The Bwindi Impenetrable National Park also lies a few hours’ south of this lodge and is a fine place to track Mountain Gorillas – you can arrange a day trip from Mweya, but we highly recommend dedicating a few days to exploring this area!
