3-Day Tanzania Amazing Wildlife Safari

DAY 1.  Arrival and Transfer to the booked accommodation

14 day Big 5-primates and Tree Climbing Lions; On arrival, you will be welcomed by a driver guide from Pamoja Tours and Travel. Thereafter, you will be transferred to your booked accommodation. In case you have had an early landing in Uganda, you may opt to go out for a late afternoon ride around Kampala City or else just relax at the accommodation and later enjoy your dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2 Transfer to Murchison falls

After breakfast, embark on a journey via Hoima Masindi route to Murchison Falls NP. The highlights of this park include the roaring rapids of the Murchison, the rolling plains of Uganda’s largest National Park where you will have the chance of viewing lions, giraffes, hartebeest, buffalo, and elephants. Then surely you will be fascinated by the concentration of hippos and the Nile crocodiles here. For birders, Murchison Falls boasts 450 bird species including the elusive rare shoebill stork, dwarf kingfisher, the white-thigh hornbill among others.

14 day Big 5 Wildlife; Stopover, make a visit to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for your first Big 5 experience where you will have an hour of rhino tracking. Another stop will be in Masindi in order to enjoy your lunch. Continue to the park and check in to your accommodation to relax for the evening as you blue tick programs on the 14 day Big 5-primates and Tree Climbing Lions

Day 3  Experience Murchison falls: Game drive and boat cruise at Albert Nile

Have an early breakfast, depart for an early morning game drive across the rolling plains of the Park where you will have the opportunity of viewing lions, giraffes, hartebeest, buffalo and elephants, and bird species. After come for lunch and relaxation.

Thereafter, you will go for a boat cruise on Albert Nile which will enable you to view water-loving animals and birds including Crocodiles and hippos, and continue with a hike to the top of the falls. Afterwards, come back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4 Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, Depart Murchison Fall National with packed lunch drive to Kibale Forest National Park which is popular for its primates that is chimpanzees and monkeys which are seen regularly swinging on trees within the park and these include colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and others heading at Kibale forest guest house for check-in.

Lastly, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi swamp

After breakfast, you will go to the chimpanzee information point for a briefing, and thereafter you will go with a senior ranger guide to trek the chimps in the forest, and on this activity, you will also have a chance of viewing other primates. Once you locate the chimpanzees, you will have an hour with them and come back to your new resident for relaxation and lunch.

In the afternoon you will go out for a walk at the side of Bigodi swamp. The Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary is a fascinating area, located in the Magombe swamp with its extensive bio-diversity and also a paradise for bird species. Thereafter come back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP

14 day Big 5-primates and Tree Climbing Lions; Have an early morning cup of coffee and depart Kibale Forest National Park heading to Queen Elizabeth National Park located at the base of the majestic Rwenzori Mountain range, adjacent to Lake Edward and Lake George. Here you will reach earlier enough to relax, have lunch and in the afternoon you will go for boat safari along Kazinga channel where you expect to view water-loving animals such as the water buffalos, elephants, hippos, crocodiles and bird species on the shores of the channel such as fish Eagle among others. Then after coming back for dinner and an overnight stay

Day 7 Morning game drive and explosion crater drive.

After early morning breakfast, go for a morning game drive in search of wildlife along the Kasenyi plains and here you will have a chance to view the Tree climbing Lions, Elephants Bushbucks, cape buffaloes, waterbucks, warthogs among others. Return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation and in the afternoon you will go for the explosion crater drive. Day 8 Transfer to Lake Katwe and evening game drive

Wake and take a cup of coffee, relax a bit and proceed to Lake Katwe to experience the salt mining process. Here you will have a chance to interact with the Local people found within the area and if interested you can buy some souvenirs to support the locals. After you will come back to your lodge for lunch, relaxation and later in the evening you will go for an evening game drive in search of wild animals such as Leopard( though had to spot), Lions among others.

Lastly, you will have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 9 Transfer to Ishasha sector located in the Southern part of the park

Have breakfast then set off for a breathtaking game viewing experience in the Ishasha area of Queen Elizabeth National Park – famously known for its resident tree-climbing lions. The sight will be spectacular! You will also be able to view other wildlife such as the Uganda kob, Cape buffalos, elephants, and warthogs in addition to the tree-climbing lions. Day 10 Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast is taken. Go for more tree-climbing lions’ sightings and thereafter transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Bwindi is a big habitat for mountain gorillas in Uganda (harboring an estimated 400 mountain gorillas – roughly half of the world’s population), including several habituated groups, which can be tracked. With a strenuous day ahead, you will do less on arrival but just check in your accommodation, relax as you prepare for the Bwindi gorilla trekking experience the following day.

Day 11 Gorilla trekking

14 day Big 5-primates; After early morning breakfast, you will go to the Gorilla information center for briefing after you will enter the gorilla sanctuary for your adventure. The beauty of this rainforest is spectacular! The area offers a dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense, but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists.

Also, the time is taken and the terrain varies with the movements of these great primates. Thereafter, return to your lodge for some rest time and lunch then in the afternoon you will go for Batwa cultural walk experience where you will have time to interact with the local people then come back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 12 Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation

After morning breakfast, you will proceed to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation with an impeccable stunning view of the Bunyonyi little islands. Lake Bunyonyi is framed by lush, green-terraced hills that reach a height of (2,200 – 2,478m) but it’s the 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water that make it most magical — you could admire them all day.

Day 13 Transfer to Lake Mburo National park for an evening game drive

Have breakfast and set off to Lake Mburo NP. Drive past the intensely terraced Kigezi hill slopes into Mbarara town for Lunch and finally Lake Mburo NP. Arrive in the park in the afternoon and take some rest before proceeding out for the late afternoon (evening) game viewing.

On the game drive, expect to see the gigantic eland antelopes, zebras in big numbers, topis, impalas, warthogs, Uganda kob, and Cape buffalos among others. Later, relax at the accommodation.

Lastly, dinner and an overnight stay.

Destination: Lake Mburo National Park

Accommodation: Rwakobo Rock lodge ( mid-range lodge outside the park)

Meal and Drinks: All meals and drinking water

Day 14 Depart Lake Mburo National park to Entebbe international airport

Enjoy your early breakfast and proceed for the Mburo morning park/nature walk with a ranger guide. On this early morning guided walk, you often encounter hyenas that are returning to their dens. Also, you will have the opportunity to encounter (at close range): Zebras, Giraffes and Eland, Topi and other antelopes, Cape buffaloes among others.

Take the Trail to the top of the hills and see Lake Mburo and beyond. From this vantage point, you will have a great view of 9 of the twelve lakes surrounding Lake Mburo NP. Afterwards, return to your lodge for check out and proceed with your journey to Entebbe. You will have your stopover in Masaka Town for Lunch and also at the Equator to take some photos and proceed back to Entebbe International Airport for your flight.
