3 Days Gorilla Trekking In Congo will take you to the land of the lowland Gorillas in Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo. You will begin and end your Journey in Kigali International Airport as you cross to and from Congo for the trekking.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Kigali, and/or transfer from Kigali to Virunga National Park in Congo
On this day, you will be picked up by our safari driver guide, from the hotel/ airport and he will brief you on the safari. The driver will transfer you from Kigali to Bukima in Congo and the journey takes about 4 hours to arrive in Goma town where you will have a lunch stop. Then you will continue driving after lunch to Bukima where you will spend overnight. Dinner and overnight

Day 2: Gorilla trekking adventure.
Today, you will wake up very early in the morning for breakfast, pack your lunch box, enough drinking water, and hiking equipment. The driver will drop you to the park headquarters for a briefing and set off for Gorilla trekking after the briefing. You will be placed in group of eight people with guide/ lead tracker and well-armed game ranger. You will hike into the jungle searching for the gorilla family and when you allocate the gorilla family, you will be given only one hour with the gorillas. Enjoy that memorable time by taking photos, learning about gorillas, and asking questions. When one hour expires you will then head back to the lodge.

Day 3: Departure from Congo to Kigali International Airport
After breakfast at your lodge, you will embark on the journey to Kigali town, have a short city tour and lunch. The driver will then drop you to the airport to catch up with the flight.
